About the Plugin

limiter Screenshot 3For the sake of consistency, I’ll call this plugin Limitator for now. I expect your ideas to be better than that.

Limitator is is a brick wall limiter designed with one thing in mind: Make your mixes loud without screwing up your mix. No matter what side of the loudness wars you’ve decided to plant yourself on, the need to make mixes loud for clients isn’t going away any time soon.

But nothing drives me more nuts than listening to all my hard work turn to garbage when pushing the mix loud. That’s why we made this plugin. We wanted a mastering limiter that lets you push your mixes loud and still keep the punch in your drums and keep your tonality intact.

We’ve been working on this one for a long time, and we’re finally ready to let it loose.

    If this plugin really does let you limit while keeping transients feel/punch… anything like wall, brickwall, hard, etc would point towards the exact opposite kind of plugin in my opinion.

    Thought something about “aircutting”, “aircutter” but it’s rather negative and seem wrong to me regarding the aim of this tool. Better is “Haircutting” or “Haircut” but we’re talking about sound here, so…
    This is obviously an “Hairdresser” or “Airdresser”, maybe you can spell it “R-dresser” or go for “Redresser” that can make think of “redresseur of wrong” which is exactly what it does ( when one defined what is wrong ).
    It supports ideas of great values like justice, power, the good and the bad but softness if you think about hair dresser with some taste of humour… I like it, don’t you ?
    Otherwise “Tailorizer” like terrorizer but you just can do Heavy Metal with a plugin that wares such a name or sell it only once to Marilyn Manson, which is good but not enough I suppose. Well, I afraid I have nothing else for instance. Cheers

        for the effect the limiter hopefully will have on the material as for power and loudness
        “HOLY!”
        as a shortcut for all the cries of excitement, amazement etc. as for what the limiter does to the material and maybe the subheading would say “The sky is the limit” or something

        follows the idea of the prior suggestion

        names the limiter a high achiever as well as describes it´s actual functionality
        “BULL NECK”
        strong and rigid like a bull´s neck, maybe some wordplay like “bulls down ur peaks” or something
        “CONFIDENCE”
        this is the limiter you can trust
        “LEVEL REBEL”
        he does it better and he does it louder
        “STOP!”
        a decent name for a brick wall limiter and a nice word(sound)play in conjunction with BOZ…the BOZ STOP!
